WELCOME BACK!
Admission to TMA is still free but
both members and nonmembers are asked to reserve a museum pass in
advance in order to enter the Museum. This will help keep crowds at a safe capacity, encourages social distancing and assists with contact tracing.
Museum passes can be reserved online or by phone up to 14 days in advance. Twenty museum passes are available each half hour
between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. No museum passes are available during the
last half hour the Museum is open (3:30 – 4 p.m.). Once reserved, museum
passes cannot be transferred to another date or time nor to a different
person.
TMA has also adjusted its hours of operation for
visitor and staff safety. The Museum will be open Tuesday through
Sunday. Special visiting hours for those most at-risk are reserved from
10 a.m. to noon. TMA will be open to the general public from noon to 4
p.m. The Museum will continue to be closed on Mondays.
Museum staff have been hard at work while the
galleries have been closed, developing a “return to TMA” plan that has
the health and safety of visitors as its top priority. And with the
expertise of the Center of Visual Expertise as part of TMA’s reopening
task force, resuming operations at the Museum has been done in a manner
that is consistent with best-practice standards in the environmental
health and safety field and follows guidelines set forth by state and
federal agencies.
